FSU Provost Named One of The Daily Record’s 前 100 Women in Maryland

Dr.  Traki L. 泰勒 Recognized for Her 领导, 社区 Service and Mentoring

Frostburg State University’s Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Traki L. 泰勒, was recently recognized for being among The Daily Record’s 2023 前 100 Women in Maryland for her outstanding achievements and accomplishments.

“I am honored and humbled to stand among such phenomenal women,” says Dr. 泰勒. “Daily, I am able to live my passion for helping others. That in itself is a blessing.”

泰勒 has an extensive background in higher education. Prior to joining the FSU team in 2022 she served as the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at the State University System of Florida, the Associate Dean of the School of Education and Human Services at the University of Michigan-Flint and the Dean and professor at Bowie State University and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University.

As the Provost at Frostburg State University, Dr. 泰勒 supports faculty development and access surrounding grant acquisitions, presentations and publications, and she is an inclusive and student-centered leader who promotes and encourages excellence and community partnerships. Since arriving at FSU, Dr. 泰勒 has identified ways to align the university’s mission and vision with professional development opportunities for her team and students. She is an active listener always willing to help build partnerships while encouraging participation and input from stakeholders to enhance the experiences of students, 工作人员, faculty and administrators.

“The 2023 Maryland’s 前 100 Women are leading companies, creating change, breaking barriers and charting new territory. They are leaders who make a difference in their communities and mentor and inspire future leaders toward success,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of The Daily Record/BridgeTower Media.

泰勒 and the other 99 honorees were chosen for this recognition by past 前 100 Women and business leaders for their professional accomplishments, community involvement and leadership. In her short time at FSU, Dr. 泰勒 has been successful in leading the university’s academic programs to address regional and national challenges higher education institutions continue to face.
